Location: Sea Island
Delivery Person - Stewarding (Full-Time)
Sea Island Company is hiring a Delivery Person – Stewarding to assist kitchen operations, transport equipment and supplies, and uphold company policies. This is a full-time position.
Basic Job FunctionAssist kitchen operations including removal of garbage, transportation of equipment and/or supplies, and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Use of Company VehicleDesignated to drive a company vehicle, Class
B.
- Previous experience driving 15–25 foot box trucks (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Favorable driving history
- DOT certification (required)
- Must be 21 years of age or older and pass yearly MVR review and DOT physical
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation procedures
- Ability to understand and follow safety requirements

- Transportation of banquet food and equipment to and from events
- Follow rules/regulations of food transportation to protect against contamination and spoilage
- Properly clean and store all china, silver, utensils, pots, pans, serving ware and other equipment
- Review mise‑en‑place form and communicate need for china, glass, silver, and other equipment
- Perform sanitation duties such as mopping floors, cleaning work surfaces, emptying trash, sweeping
- Maintain equipment in a professional manner and keep a clean, safe and efficient workstation
- Report equipment breakdowns and safety concerns to supervisor
- Communicate with the Chef on delivery time for food and equipment needed for events
- Ensure food and equipment set up prior to event according to standards
- Set up functions with ice, tables, chairs, utensils and other equipment as required
- Inform Chef on duty of additional food requirements and restocking
- Break down and return food, equipment, props to assigned areas
- Ensure all food returned to Chef for inspection and all equipment cleaned and stored properly
- Maintain thorough knowledge of guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions and historical info about Sea Island to answer guest questions
- If applicable, complete Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on issues and follow‑up
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Uphold departmental standards of quality/timing
- Report all equipment problems, maintenance issues, hazards, or unsafe practices immediately
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and bring improvement suggestions
- Timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
