Customer Service Associate

Overview

Family Dollar is hiring a Customer Service Associate I to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or related environments preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
