Duties & Responsibilities ul> li>Enforce all institutional policies, rules, procedures, and regulations. /li> li>Enforce rules, regulations, and state laws necessary for control and management of offenders and public safety. /li> li>Escort offenders in transit and during temporary leaves. /li> li>Guard facility entrances to screen visitors. /li> li>Handle and train canines for tracking, search and rescue, guard duty, and detection of contraband.
/li> li>Inspect, inventory, and maintain physical control of keys, tools, weapons, and related equipment. /li> li>Maintain order, discipline, and security within assigned areas. /li> li>Observe inmate conduct to prevent disturbances and escapes. /li> li>Oversee inmates during work assignments, meals, and recreation periods. /li> li>Patrol assigned areas and report any problems. /li> li>Prepare admission, program, release, transfer, and other reports. /li> li>Respond to emergencies.
