• Performs mid‑level splicing functions for aerial, underground, and ISP cable routing on various projects.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret construction prints, drawings, and splice matrices to meet customer requirements.
• Determines equipment needs, cable route, direction, safety best practices, and performs splicing functions within a live customer facility.
• Independently and safely performs mid‑sheath cable entry using proper tools.
• Performs mid‑level single and/or ribbon splices with large cable count numbering.
• Reads and processes test results, and troubleshoots basic issues.
• Proficient in mid‑level OTDR and power meter testing.
• Installs and researches installation procedures for all splice enclosures.
• Performs basic cable relocations and hot cuts while maintaining organization.
• Communicates with training peers and external stakeholders to address issues and offer solutions.
• Responds timely to critical situations and emergency outages with urgency.
• Maintains full understanding of safety risks and adheres to all safety requirements and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

• Ability to work in various physical positions (sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing).
• May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite.
• Requires wearing common protective safety equipment (glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots).

• 1–5 years of experience performing fiber‑optic cable splicing projects.
• OSHA 10 certification (or ability to acquire within 6 months).
• First‑aid and/or CPR certifications preferred.
• Valid driver license with ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

The starting pay for this position is $22.00 per hour and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
