Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 3 years verifiable experience
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. continuously. Must be able to climb ladders with no fear of heights. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stretch for extended periods. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
Primary Function: Maintain facilities by working as a team with fellow employees. Responsible for construction, repair, or modification of items and structures. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing interior and exterior furnishings.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in rough-in and finish carpentry.
- Maintain inventory for construction and repairs.
- Perform new construction including framing, wood and metal studs, drywall, finish trim, and cabinetry.
- Inspect and repair building system problems.
- Repair and install doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, and walls.
- Build or repair furniture.
- Install signage, bulletin boards, dry erase boards, pictures, and signage.
This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned by the Maintenance Director to meet maintenance needs.
