Job Description

Are you a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and welcoming? We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities and Operations Department. In this hands‑on role, you will help ensure our students, staff, and visitors have a clean, secure, and efficient learning environment.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance across district facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and emergency maintenance requests.
• Inspect school buildings and systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and storm preparation.
• Support custodial teams with larger maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and systems serviced.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work spaces are used safely and maintained in good condition.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors when specialized services are required.
• Provide input on facility improvement projects and long‑term maintenance planning.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, building repair, or related trade.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
