Position: Heavy Equipment Operator (for both job sites).
Qualified Candidates- Able to climb, step, walk rough terrain and negotiate equipment entry/exit (may include climbing, reaching, pulling, bending)
- Appropriately qualified including possession of necessary certifications & licenses to operate earthmoving equipment for which they've been hired, including Crane certification
- Capable of reading plans and grades
- Experienced in working on complex public work projects
- Working with heavy construction equipment to move material, earth, heavy objects (forms, steel, rebar, etc.)
- Excavating & grading jobsites for buildings, roads, tanks, underground structures/facilities, etc.
- Adhering to safe load limits
- Constant motion of traversing various terrains
- Full motion of neck for unrestricted vision
- Sitting in prone position for long periods while using both hands and feet simultaneously for equipment operation
- Equipment inspections (may include greasing & fluid checks, changing of equipment accessories, completion of safety logs)
- 50 lb. lifting capability of miscellaneous items such as fuel cans, hydraulic oil containers, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Work is to be performed outside in all weather conditions. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work all shifts and overtime. Satisfactory attendance is required.
