Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Installation Technician

Piedmont Door Solutions is looking for an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician for our Dawsonville, GA branch. This role will serve North Atlanta and North GA. Technicians repair, maintain, and install doors on location in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more. We are looking for someone with a background in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical, or other skilled trades.

Piedmont Door Solutions provides the necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles.

• Learn to be a Piedmont Door Technician: install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
• Take initiative: proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment to drive project success.
• Learn and adapt: embrace the opportunity to learn techniques from your trainer, building on existing skills and showing a desire to grow.
• Maintain a professional worksite: ensure a clean, organized, and professional worksite, paying attention to detail, taking pride in workmanship, and solving problems for customers.
• Work with office staff: order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.

• License: must possess an unrestricted and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Education:
  
  must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience:
  
  comfortable using power tools and hand tools — personally or professionally. Preference for experience with carpentry, electric, military, HVAC, or similar.
• Skills:
  
  ability to stand, bend, and/or climb for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment; lift 75+ pounds; work at heights or use a ladder.
• Tests: successful completion of a background check and drug screen required. COVID‑19, flu, and other vaccinations may be required.
