What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Design and implement the API Developer Portal and establish API-first design and governance
Automate and build self-service capabilities for API discovery, onboarding, and reporting
Provide expert guidance on technical support, maintenance, and enhancements of API management platforms
Develop integration patterns and collaborate with Architecture teams to determine optimal API platforms
Monitor performance and resolve complex issues within assigned applications and systems

What is Required (Qualifications):

Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in software application development and maintenance
Advanced experience with programming languages such as Java, Spring Boot, microservices, JavaScript, HTML 5, XML, and SQL scripting
Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile)
Ability to build strong collaborative relationships and work effectively in a team
Willingness to be on call 24/7 on a rotating basis

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

Experience with Service Now or other information technology ticketing systems
Proven ability to mentor and guide less experienced associates
Familiarity with API security and governance best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop comprehensive testing plans and system enhancements based on user feedback
