Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Dev Ops Engineer. This is a Full Time role working Monday-Friday, Daylight hours. This role is Hybrid (2 days from home) and can be based out of our Monn Township, PA or Peachtree City, GA location.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000 - $154000 a year.

What you'll do:Eaton's Energy Transition organization is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to enhance development efficiency and software delivery across a portfolio of connected energy products. This role will work with firmware, software, and quality engineering teams to develop automation, CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and developer platforms that improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and support the long-term sustainment and evolution of our products.
The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, developer productivity, CI/CD technologies, and creating highly efficient engineering workflows that enable teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-quality products.
What You'll Do- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting firmware, embedded software, backend services, and engineering tools.
- Develop automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve engineering efficiency.
- Build and maintain engineering infrastructure, development platforms, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions supporting development, testing, and release operations.
- Enhance developer experience through self-service tools, automation frameworks, and platform improvements.
- Support release management, artifact management, deployment automation, and environment management.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices across development and production systems.
- Design and maintain development, build, and release processes that support cybersecurity, regulatory, and product compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support automated test execution environments and integration with quality engineering processes.
- Drive adoption of Dev Ops and Dev Sec Ops best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, and automation challenges.
- Partner with firmware, software, and quality engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, security, and engineering productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, Build Engineering, Release Engineering, or related roles.
- 4+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- 4+ years of experience with containerization technologies and automated build/test environments.
- 4+ years of scripting and automation experience using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of the facility listed will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
- Experience supporting highly available software delivery and engineering automation platforms.
- Experience with source control systems and modern software development practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience with Git Hub Enterprise and CI/CD pipeline automation using Git Hub Actions, including self-hosted runner administration, workflow optimization, and enterprise security best practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot and their application to software development, infrastructure automation, and engineering productivity.
- Experience supporting embedded software, firmware, or IoT product development environments.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, and observability solutions.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and container-based deployments.
- Experience supporting embedded software build, test, and release processes, including Makefile-based build systems.
- Experience implementing Dev Sec Ops practices and supporting compliance-driven development environments.
