We are seeking an experienced Account Management professional with a strong carrier development background to help grow, manage, and optimize our carrier network.
The Role
This role is ideal for someone who has lived inside a cradle-to-grave brokerage model or split brokerage environment and understands the importance of carrier relationships, lane balance, and execution.
You will be responsible for developing carrier relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact between carriers, internal teams, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Build, onboard, and manage long-term carrier relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned carrier accounts
- Match carriers to consistent lanes aligned with their operational needs
- Negotiate rates while maintaining margin discipline
- Proactively manage service issues and resolve exceptions
- Track carrier performance, capacity trends, and lane opportunities
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to support network balance
- Maintain accurate CRM and operational records
- 3–4+ years of experience in carrier development, inside sales, or brokerage operations
- Background in shipper logistics operations, cradle-to-grave brokerage or split-model brokerage (carrier side preferred)
- Strong understanding of carrier economics, lane strategy, and utilization
- Proven ability to build trust and long-term relationships with carriers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-through skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
