Salary Range: $102,000 - $121,000
Injection Mold Process Engineer - MiltonKey Responsibilities
- Preparation and execution of complex customer system startups which includes mold installation and associated connections, machine setup and installation of auxiliary equipment.
- Execute troubleshooting and optimization of injection molding system including customer acceptance runs within Husky facilities.
- Attend startup at customer production location to facilitate hand‑off to Husky Service team (mainly in the US but occasionally abroad).
- Contribute with suggestions for the resin test protocol as a function of the test objectives.
- Prepare reports and provide suggestions for improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of application guidelines.
- Prepare and lead all the qualification steps from end to end (e.g. IQ, OQ, PQ & PV):
- Installation & debugging of injection molding machine and auxiliaries.
- Assembly & debugging of mold and hot runner.
- Follow scientific injection molding for definition of baseline and process window.
- Define best practice for startup, process, and shut down for specific applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering; or at least 5 years of plastics processing or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge on injection molding.
- Knowledge on mechatronics and automation.
- Understanding of mold and hot runner instrumentation.
- Medical molding validation environment experience preferred - IQ, OQ and PQ.
- Familiar with DoE and scientific molding.
- Familiar with Husky Machines is an asset.
- Capable of working from mechanical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
- Technical report writing using Microsoft application.
- Willingness to travel.
