• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patient(s) in one or more patient care departments according to the State Board of Nursing Practice Act, American Nursing Association Code of Ethics and standards of practice.
• Perform assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients served.
• Act as instructor, colleague, researcher, advocate and leader; participate in decisions related to patient care and nursing practice.
• Demonstrate competency in quality care, Process Improvement, patient and employee safety, collaboration, consultation and professional development.
• Plan, organize, delegate and evaluate patient care rendered by LPNs, technicians and other staff.

• Assessment and Planning:
  Involves patient, family and providers in data collection and care planning; document PHI and discharge needs; plan culturally sensitive care with a focus on continuity.
• Implementation:
  Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care; administer medications/treatments; respond to emergencies; coordinate care and referrals; use patient-family centered care model.
• Coordination and Evaluation:
  Coordinate all facets of care; ensure regulatory compliance; monitor outcomes and adjust plans; participate in quality improvement and unit operations.
• Leadership and
  
  Education:
  
  Participate in governance, staffing, education, mentoring and performance feedback; participate in budget and resource planning as appropriate.
• Documentation and Compliance:
  Ensure legible documentation using approved terminology; adhere to safety, infection control and confidentiality standards.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Experience:
  
  None
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Current RN or eNLC license with the Georgia Board of Nursing;
  Current BLS within 30 days of hire
• Mandatory Training:
  Must attend hospital mandatory training annually; complete competencies (age-specific and department-specific) annually

  Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to think analytically, work independently and within a team
• Physical Demands:
  Ability to perform required physical tasks, lifts, mobility and environment-related demands as specified in the role description
• Supervisor Scope:
  Supervises LPNs, novice RNs, unit secretaries, clinical technicians, students and other staff

Pay Range: $34.90 - $52.35
