Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor, this position assists in the processing of soiled linen on a daily basis and maintains the laundry area in a clean and orderly basis.

Essential Functions:

• Sorts linen for rooms, cabins, and food & beverage department.
• Loads soiled linen into washer and washes according to procedures.
• Loads dryer and dries clean linen according to standards.
• Knows the operating functions of the laundry machines.
• Removes lint from dryer lint traps once daily.
• Folds towels and linens by hand.
• Places folded linen on marked shelves.
• Ensures washers are in use before taking breaks to augment efficiency.
• Assists Room Attendants and Public Space Attendants when needed.
