Summary of Role
Responsible for the management of maintenance and facilities projects and to help maintain a world class appearance of the Husky property and buildings on the Milton campus. Identify and execute business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives in support of corporate maintenance and facilities management strategies. In addition, support the Maintenance Manager as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance and facilities projects (i.e., capital installations, shutdowns, emergency rebuild repairs, Internal Maintenance Efficiency projects, etc.) to rectify breakdowns and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions.
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures (LOTO, Work Instructions, ect.) to be utilized by the maintenance teams and contractors.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance and facilities equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the teams.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external contractors (for example builders, electricians) to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Liaise with functional or operational area managers throughout the organization to coordinate scheduled activities with their areas.
- Estimate the cost, time, and resources required for projects; prepare work orders and monitor the progress of work against estimates.
- Create and propose investment strategies and submit capital justifications as needed.
- Participate (and lead) contract negotiations with all related facilities topics (e.g., waste removal).
- Responsible for all projects and work related to the building to include recommendations, implementation and follow up/execution. Key contributor in facilities related decisions.
- Main contact for interior design, engineering, architectural design and construction management services.
- Must have 3-5 years' experience in building maintenance.
- Strong project management, organizational and time management skills.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Advanced strategic planning experience highly preferred.
- Must possess strong analytical, problem solving and process mapping abilities.
- Must have experience with supplier negotiations.
- Excellent multi-tasker and high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with others.
- Takes pride in the quality of their work.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through and execute timely.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
