OverviewAs an RN Assistant Nurse Manager at Wellstar, you’ll support the Nurse Manager in delivering exceptional clinical outcomes while fostering a supportive environment for patient care, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in overseeing daily operations and collaborating on both clinical and financial performance goals.
- Support staff retention and recruitment efforts, and contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment.
- Promote shared governance by involving staff in decision-making and workflow improvement.
- Encourage evidence-based nursing practice and professional development amongst nurses.
- Monitor compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Help manage human and material resources effectively to optimize care delivery.
- Foster interdisciplinary teamwork by establishing clear communication with physicians, leadership, and staff.
- Advocate for nursing staff, resolve conflicts, and cultivate a healthy work culture.
- Assist with data-driven performance improvement and patient outcomes initiatives.
Required:
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing experience, including leadership or preceptor roles Indeed
- BLS certification (and/or BLS Instructor if applicable)
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- Previous experience in a hospital setting
- Demonstrated competencies in leadership, communication, and quality improvement methodologies
