Our Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a Systems Helper in the Southeast. This position will work within Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, and Federal sectors and be part of a growing team. All positions are regular, full-time, and benefits-eligible. Pay depends on experience, skills, and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand basic blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Physically install network and fiber optics structured cable distribution systems.
  • Install outlets, pull cable, and install fire stopping and pre-termination, including organizing.
  • Form, dress, and label cables to industry standards.
  • Terminate, assemble, and connect RJ45 modular and coaxial connectors.
  • Test copper cables to certification parameters using appropriate testing methods.
  • Remove and demolish abandoned cables.
  • Maintain systems according to industry standards such as ANSI, EIA/TIA, BICSI, and local low-voltage codes.
  • Install backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction to promote repeat business and positive recommendations.
  • Follow all customer and general contractor rules.
  • Pre-plan daily to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Observe and address unsafe habits and hazards of others.
  • Prioritize safety and support the goal of zero accidents.
  • Encourage open communication regarding safety concerns, suggestions, and PPE needs.
  • Complete safety training as required.
  • Conduct oneself safely at all times.
  • Preplan and identify hazards and mitigation strategies daily.
  • Address safety deficiencies observed in others.

    Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred. Equivalent training or experience may substitute. A positive safety attitude and personal integrity are essential. Prior electrical or construction experience is preferred, including the ability to identify wire colors.
