Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
- Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
- Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
- Assist senior Mechanics in project work and review/complete/assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and participate in ongoing workplace safety initiatives.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be over 18 and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Monday – Friday, second shift from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm; no weekends.
- Location:
repair/maintenance shop at WM’s Jackson, GA hauling site. - Stable hours aimed at financial security and work-life balance.
- Starting salary of $26–$32 per hour, depending on experience; up to $6 more per hour with ASE certification.
- Tool allowance reimbursement up to $2,500; boot allowance up to $300.
