Position Description

The Warehouse Specialist functions as a warehouse worker and driver in the Furnishings Warehouse, performing storing, inventory, and delivery duties. Must have knowledge of Army ranking.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries and pick-ups of furnishings as part of a team.
• Perform physical tasks to move, deliver, load, and unload furniture within the warehouse and on-site.
• Assist in inventory control, storage, acquisition, and property disposal.
• Operate vehicles up to 26 ft. for furniture pickup and delivery.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance and load cargo appropriately.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a good driving record.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of specialized experience in DoD preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and knowledge of operating a 26 ft. box truck.
• Knowledge of warehouse loading and storage techniques.
• Ability to use MHE and pass DoD physical and background checks.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and work independently.

Work Environment

Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment requiring adaptability. Overtime may be necessary.
