Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful. You’ll inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, and you’ll build client relationships that grow stronger every year.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools — video, phone, chat, or email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services;
  Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Support teammates and contribute to a collaborative team environment

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Certification: CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment (not an offer or guarantee of employment)
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with virtual tools — video, phone, and chat
• Effective communication in person, by phone, and in writing
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher
