Assistant Manager

You are the leader who ensures that every team member, supervisor, and even the store manager operates efficiently and safely. In this role you will be accountable for the entire shift, guiding staff, maintaining standards, managing inventory, and delivering outstanding customer service.

• Manage all cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Set an example for the crew, enforce company policies and procedures 100% of the time.
• Oversee staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
• Maintain a perfect image and adherence to brand standards.
• Ensure employees arrive on time, maintain attendance and punctuality.
• Cater to transportation requirements to and from work.

• Operate all equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, take inventory, and process orders.
• Clean equipment and facilities on a daily basis.
• Receive, process, and answer telephone orders.
• Enter orders on a computer keyboard or touchscreen; handle verbal, written, and telephone communication.
• Navigate delivery routes, including multi‑story buildings and adverse terrain, while carrying product.
• Handle cash and make accurate monetary change.
• Participate in orientation and on‑the‑job training.

• Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with quick accuracy.
• Verbal, written, and telephone communication proficiency.
• Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., using pizza peel, rolling cutter).
• Ability to use computers, touch screens, calculators, and other tools.
• Good navigational skills; read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Physical stamina to move, carry, lift, push, and climb as necessary.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle suitable for deliveries.
• Basic math proficiency and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast‑moving environment.

• Standing: Most tasks performed standing; surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum. Work surfaces between 36″ and 48″ high.
• Walking: Short distances and durations; delivery personnel travel between store, vehicle, and customer locations.
• Sitting: Limited; paperwork completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Bulk deliveries up to 50 lbs; cases stacked to 72″ high.
• Carrying: Items such as 3‑lb cans, 30‑lb pizza sauce, trays weighing ~12 lbs per tray.
• Pushing / Pulling: Trays on dollies up to 30″, requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force.
• Climbing: Occasional navigation of stairs or ladders; delivery routes may involve five flights of stairs.
• Stooping / Bending: Repeated forward bending at the pizza assembly station and front counter.
• Crouching / Squatting: Occasionally for stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
• Reaching: Continuous, up/down/forward; up to 72″ high for oven controls and shelf handling.
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area; may make several deliveries per shift.
• Hand Tasks: Constant eye‑hand coordination; frequent use of hands during dough shaping, pizza cutting, and box assembly.
