• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures
• Escort each patient to the operatory in a timely manner
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery and help monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels
• Confirm medical history with patient and make any necessary changes
• Ensure the patient is aware of and educated on the treatment being performed
• Assist the oral surgeon by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing any necessary materials during surgery
• Accurately document patient information and surgical details into the patient’s electronic health record (EHR)
• Assist with postoperative care instructions and ensure proper follow-up
• Stock all operatories and designated sterilization area(s)
• Represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner

• Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state
• Must excel in forward thinking to anticipate the needs of the patient and our dental team
• May be required to travel between office locations. Must be insurable by the company’s insurance
• CPR Certification
• Dexterity and manual skills required for handling surgical instruments and assisting with procedures
