Roles & Responsibilities- Perform CT examinations and diagnostic x‑rays, including portable exams when indicated, in accordance with radiologist protocols.
- Fulfill primary modality duties, including on‑call and holiday coverage as required; secondary modality duties as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating imaging and related equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
- Understand the principles and risks of oral and intravenous contrast, identify contraindications, and recognize IV contrast reactions.
- Accurately identify patients, review orders, and select scanning protocols to maximize quality and safe patient care.
- Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems applicable to CT and diagnostic x‑ray (HIS, RIS, PACS, tele‑radiography, image reformatting).
- Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork by managing large patient volume, including transporting patients to and from CT/X‑Ray as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment and provide general patient care as needed within the Imaging Department.
- Assist in orienting and training of new employees and students.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT accredited school of radiography.
- One year of CT experience.
- One year of multi‑modality experience preferred.
- State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
- ARRT (R) (CT) certification.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 10:30 pm – 8:00 am
Pay RangeIf the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
Pay Range: $37.17 – $55.76
