Overview
Blue Water Federal is looking for a Network Administrator / Engineer to support the DOE EHSS Application, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity Support (AICS) program
AICS enables secure, reliable, and data-driven operations across the DOE enterprise through application modernization, Dev Sec Ops , Zero Trust implementation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure sustainment supporting EHSS’s environment, health, safety, security, and classification missions.
Responsibilities- Configure, administer, monitor, maintain, patch, upgrade, and secure classified network devices, servers, systems, applications, terminals, and peripherals.
- Review, analyze, and modify programming and operational systems, including coding, testing, debugging, installation, and issue correction.
- Consult users to understand operating procedures, clarify objectives, resolve access/performance issues, and provide technical assistance.
- Support databases, client-server, UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, cloud, virtualization, firewalls, encryption, and thin-client environments.
- Execute tests, support vulnerability scanning, remediate findings, and maintain configuration baselines and records.
- Review logs and support patches, antivirus, firmware, licensing, backups, accounts, incident restoration, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field. 6 years of experience can be substituted for the bachelor’s degree (included as part of the experience requirement, not additional).
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Q clearance
- Minimum 2 years reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installation.
- Experience consulting users to identify operating procedures and objectives.
- Ability to write development, logic, coding, correction, installation, and operating documentation.
- Familiarity with relational databases, client-server, UNIX/Linux, Microsoft, and cloud; classified networks and TACLANE/COMSEC desired.
- CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or AWS Advanced Networking preferred.
