The Operations Manager at Nelson Container is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role involves managing production processes, equipment maintenance, employee development, quality control, and strategic planning to meet company objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with manufacturing expertise, a focus on operational excellence, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.

• The safety and wellbeing of all persons within the facility.
• The manufacturing process, including but not limited to the machine standards, the individual and overall all machine efficiency rates, over all maintenance of manufacturing equipment, working with capital equipment vendors, evaluating raw material vendors and their performance, scrap levels, employee training programs, quality programs.
• Administering the compensation and incentive program for all production, maintenance and traffic employees.
• Monitoring the performance review system for all production, maintenance and traffic employees.
• Ensuring that the grounds, facility and work environment are in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to a safe, equal opportunity, legal work place.
• Championing the continuous learning and development of all employees, creating an environment of continuous learning, goal setting and honest feedback.
• Maintaining on time defect free delivery of product to our customers by the most cost efficient means, including the use of MRP (material resource planning) and/or ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems, quality processes and procedures, production efficacy process and procedures.
• The strategic planning for the medium (1-2 year) and long (3-5 year) term direction of the products and services provided to potential and existing customers and the personal and financial capital needed.
• Providing support and open communication to sales and customer service employees and their customers.
• Their continuous growth as a leader, individual and human being.

• 4 year college degree (BA or BS)
• Continuing education
• Knowledge of the Flex-o-graphic printing process
• Has a mechanical aptitude

• Lean or Quick Response Manufacturing
