Holy Cross Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The OR RN will use the Quality Caring Model to plan and manage care for patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

Holy Cross Hospital is a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery, being the first in Montgomery County to offer robotic surgery with the da Vinci® surgical system.

• Plan and deliver patient care and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Perform pre‑operative assessments, review patient histories, and conduct physical examinations.
• Perform scrub functions—including selection and handling of instruments and supplies during procedures—and circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, and documentation.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Plan continuum of care.

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specified time frame.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating).

$41.70 – $55.68 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
