The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the delegated authority of a registered nurse to perform a nursing function within their scope of practice and assist the nurse in collecting data for a nursing assessment, under the supervision of a nurse.

• Report to the Director; may function in Health Unit Coordinator or Nursing Assistant role.
• Perform nursing functions within scope under RN authority and assist in data collection for nursing assessment.
• Provide quality nursing care to patients; implement specific procedures and programs; coordinate departmental work and report pertinent information to the supervisor.
• Respond to inquiries or requests for information and assist the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.

• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board for Certified Nursing Assistant
• High School Diploma
• BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
• Computer and audiovisual skills using various applications and technologies (Internet, email, word processing, wireless phone, pager)
• Ability to obtain and retrieve data
• Ability to multi‑task, organize and prioritize; work well with individuals and groups

$18.65 – $23.85 per hour. Pay based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. Pay may vary based on location.
