Job Opportunity – Level II Nursery RN – Maryland
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend requirement. Block scheduling available.
Highlights:- Level II Nursery experience with neonates 29-34 weeks gestational age
- Patient ratios of 1:4 providing quality, focused care
- EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
- 22-bed unit with average daily census of 3-4 patients
- May float to well baby nursery within scope of practice
- 12-hour orientation provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Interpretation Services
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of NICU Level II experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions)
- Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
- Competency with UAC/UVC line management, bubble CPAP, oxygen delivery systems, IV vasopressors, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and feedings (bottle, breast, gavage)
This position offers the chance to provide specialized care to premature and medically fragile neonates in a supportive, well-resourced environment. You'll work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team while caring for a manageable patient load, allowing you to deliver excellent clinical outcomes. The facility supports work-life balance with block scheduling options and manageable patient ratios that promote quality nursing care.
Additional Information:Time off requests must be submitted at time of application and approved prior to assignment start. Candidates should expect to work some holidays and weekends per facility scheduling requirements. One pre-approved time off request permitted per contract. Non-billable training modules (averaging 4-8 hours) will be completed during orientation through the facility's learning portal. This is a 13-week assignment with extension possibilities after a required separation period.
