Location:

USA-MD-Germantown (Store: GF - Store Admin, 2500055). Travel throughout multiple stores in the district/region may be required.

Giant Food is hiring Asset Protection Associates to protect store assets by investigating losses (merchandise, money, and property). The role includes preventing loss and shrink through monitoring, investigating, surveillance, and other loss-prevention tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues for stores within the area of responsibility.
• Tour stores daily to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce or control merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and execute shrink reduction strategy drivers during store visits (e.g., rotation, backroom organization, and other follow-up areas assigned by supervision).
• Review shrink reports and assist in addressing issues and opportunities identified in assigned stores.

• High School Diploma
• Driver's License and transportation required; travel throughout multiple stores in a district/region is required
• Up to one year of related experience
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of investigation-related information
• Basic skills in MS Office
