We are hiring immediately for full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions at Methodist Healthcare Germantown Hospital, 7691 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, Tennessee 38138. Online applications are accepted only.

• Full time;
  Days may vary: 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

• Provide services to patients that include helping with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up meal trays.
• Work with nursing, caregivers, and the culinary team to ensure meals comply with patients  nutritional requirements and restrictions; determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient  menu selection; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Follow regulatory standards (federal, state, JCAHO), maintain confidentiality and patient rights per HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling, cleaning workstations, and breaking down the tray line; comply with infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians by monitoring patients who are unable to eat by mouth or are on liquid diets or specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner; complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver and push food delivery carts.
