Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary:

The Wound Care Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering specialized wound care services, including patient assessment, direct care, clinical staff education, and family instruction to ensure effective treatment outcomes and support rehabilitation goals.

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor wound healing progress.
• Educate clinical staff on wound care best practices and wound care protocols.
• Instruct patients and families on treatment plans, care techniques, and home care as appropriate.

• Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines to ensure continuity of care.

• Graduate of an accredited Wound Ostomy Care Nurse program.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in wound care required.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; ACLS preferred; WOCN certification preferred.
