Position OverviewGastro One is a leading healthcare provider specializing in gastroenterology services. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and providing a supportive and collaborative work environment for our healthcare professionals. We are seeking a PRN Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures by conducting thorough assessments and obtaining medical histories.
- Administer medications and provide preoperative education to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the preoperative phase.
- Assist with the transition of patients to the operating room.
- Provide post‑anesthesia care in the PACU, including monitoring vital signs, pain management, and assessing patients' readiness for discharge.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a seamless patient care experience.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain patient records.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Please note that occasional Saturdays are required.
Required Skills- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of TN.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong IV skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to patient‑centered care and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
