American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years of recent experience and prior travel assignment history for a 13-week day shift contract.
Requirements- Active RN license (TN or compact) in compliance with NLC guidelines required, pending licensure not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required, 3+ years preferred
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Telemetry skills preferred
- IV start skills required
- ADN accepted for this position
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Vaccination status required for consideration
- Med/Surg Tele unit functioning as an overflow unit for post-surgical and observation patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6/7
- Unit transitioning to a team nursing model with LPN support
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- On-call required as needed
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele overflow unit handling post-surgical and observation cases
- Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
- Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored
