Location: Kaiserslautern

An established aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing to join its Quality Assurance team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) documentation

Support serial production to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with aerospace quality standards

Lead and coordinate FAI (First Article Inspection) in accordance with AS/EN 9102

Manage production quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis, Ishikawa, 5-Why, etc.)

Interface with OEM customers and aviation clients during audits and quality reviews

Conduct supplier quality audits, identify improvement opportunities, define corrective action plans, and track implementation

Participate in cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPT)

Develop and monitor quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Plan and conduct internal audits in line with aerospace QMS requirements

Ensure compliance with EASA regulations and applicable aviation standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent technical qualification

Several years of professional experience in Aerospace Quality Engineering / Aviation Manufacturing / Aircraft Interiors

Strong knowledge of aerospace quality processes, including:

APQP

PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

Control Plans

AS/EN 9102 FAI

Familiarity with EASA Part 21G and Part 145 regulations

Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), ERP systems, and PLM systems

Proven experience defining and implementing quality standards in a regulated manufacturing environment

Experience in supplier quality management and audit processes

Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

Willingness to travel for supplier visits and customer audits
