Volunteer Zoom Host – Overview

Careers Springboard is a registered charity that supports unemployed professionals, managers and graduates through virtual job search advice and support. We are looking for an experienced Zoom host to improve and manage our weekly Monday evening meetings.

Available on one Monday evening per month, approximately 4 hours from 4:00 pm to 9:15 pm (including pre‑meeting setup, in‑meeting facilitation and post‑meeting reporting).

• Prepare and set up the Zoom meeting (registration, agenda, breakout rooms) from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
• Assign members to breakout rooms at 6:30 pm.
• Open and manage the meeting from 6:45 pm to 9:15 pm, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
• Administer breakout rooms during the meeting as required.
• Generate and circulate a participants report within 30 minutes after the meeting ends.
• Strengthen attendance and engagement, aiming to increase the average of 70 participants.
• Consider ways to streamline and improve Zoom operations.

• At least three years of professional Zoom experience.
• Proven success in managing smooth Zoom meetings.
• Experience in a voluntary or charity environment is an advantage.
• Strong organisational, communication and change‑management abilities.
• Clear, calm, reliable, receptive and consistently positive approach.

Current team: 4 Zoom hosts, goal to expand to 6–7. Coordination will be with the host team and 1–2 trustees.

UK‑wide – work is online, all contact via email and Zoom.
