New Way Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established care home provider to recruit an experienced and proactive
Estates Manager
to oversee the maintenance, compliance and upkeep of a portfolio of care homes across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on estates professional who enjoys working across multiple sites, ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and maintained to the highest standards while supporting Home Managers with day-to-day facilities management.
The RoleOversee the maintenance and facilities management of a portfolio of care homes.
Ensure compliance with fire safety, health & safety, water hygiene, asbestos management and statutory testing.
Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across all sites.
Coordinate reactive maintenance and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Manage external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and within budget.
Support refurbishment projects, minor capital works and property improvements.
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure homes remain inspection-ready.
Work closely with Home Managers to identify and prioritise maintenance requirements.
Monitor maintenance budgets and negotiate with suppliers to achieve value for money.
Maintain accurate compliance records and produce reports for senior management.
About YouPrevious experience as an Estates Manager, Facilities Manager or Property Manager within care homes, healthcare, hospitality or another multi-site environment.
Excellent understanding of building compliance, statutory maintenance and health & safety legislation.
Experience managing contractors and planned maintenance programmes.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
Commercially aware with experience managing maintenance budgets.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with Home Managers and contractors.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas.
