Job Description

Data Federation / Virtualization – Denodo Senior Developer

Key Responsibilities

- Design logical data models; develop logical, base, derived, and interface views; and build the semantic layer using the Denodo platform.
- Connect to heterogeneous data sources such as RDBMS, No

SQL, cloud data stores, APIs, flat files, etc., and blend the data to expose unified data services via REST/SOAP APIs and JDBC/ODBC endpoints.
- Tune virtual views, implement caching strategies, analyze query execution plans, and ensure optimal performance and adherence to SLAs for high-volume data access.
- Implement and enforce security measures, including role-based access control (RBAC), row-level and column-level security, data masking, data encryption, and integration with enterprise identity providers (LDAP, Kerberos).
- Work closely with data architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and provide expert support.
- Establish governance processes, document technical specifications, and ensure adherence to data virtualization standards and CI/CD practices for the platform.

Must Have Expertise

- Denodo Platform, including VDP, VQL, data source configuration, virtual view development, API integration, security model setup, cache management, Solution Manager, Scheduler, Data Catalog, and performance optimization.
- Strong expertise in SQL, including complex joins, performance tuning, and understanding of data integration concepts such as ETL/ELT, APIs, federation, and streaming.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and identify optimal solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

- BE /

B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA

Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Virtualization, and Enterprise Analytics, with deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable data integration solutions.
- 5+ years of proven hands-on experience with the Denodo Platform;
Denodo certification is often a plus.
- Exposure to large-scale data virtualization projects in government or financial sectors is preferred
