GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs advanced (senior-level) managerial work in treatment consultation and technical assistance work. Provides leadership and guidance to all direct care staff regarding ongoing implementation and maintenance of all aspects of The Texas Model. Works closely with executive-level administrators, half-way house administration, and other staff to support the needs of Texas Model implementation at the assigned facility, consistent with safety and security and the principles of the Texas Model.

This will include: demonstration of DBT methods and practices, creation and coordination of resources to support staff learning, assessing staff progress, and supporting supervisors in their evaluation of staff knowledge, skills and abilities. Collaborates with Texas Model Mentors at other facilities to develop and share resources, methods, and practices. Works across the intervention continuum (individual sessions, groups, milieu, meetings) to model, coach and support Texas Model implementation.

Maintains situational understanding of the facility’s progress towards Texas Model implementation, replicates operational successes, and addresses issues in implementation appropriately. Maintains regular communication with the Director of Structured Programming and Accountability, and the Facility Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

Acts as a resource for staff to assist with program needs, which may include but is not limited to providing toolkits, training materials, handbooks, and other resources for staff implementing the Model. Work involves assisting…
