Responsibilities- Reviews and screens referrals to RSU and determines admission or release of youth based on violations.
- Interviews youth and provides regulation techniques while in RSU.
- Ensures due process regarding referral, admission, and/or release from RSU.
- Coordinates with dorm staff regarding referral, admission, repair, and release from RSU; discusses and processes required repairs for youth to return to the dorm.
- Reviews youth admitted to RSU multiple times during a shift to assess regulation and need; ensures services per policy.
- Utilizes advanced skills in Connecting, Correcting, and Empowering youth; employs Levels of Response effectively.
- Conducts and facilitates Gang Intervention Groups and individual gang intervention counseling per CMS.
- Plans for scheduled/unanticipated leave to ensure group services; participates in staff development and treatment programs; complies with policies and safety procedures.
- Prepares and maintains records, forms, and reports; performs related duties as needed; reports safety hazards.
- Completes required documentation for accidents/injuries within requested time frames; maintains regular and predictable attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements for Case Manager II – Pay Level One (1):
Unrelated Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma or equivalent, and Fifteen (15) semest
