An established and progressive civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow is looking to add an Estimator to their growing commercial team. As an Estimator, you'll work within a young and energetic commercial team, preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with an SME mindset and experience in water projects— adaptable, team-oriented, and motivated by quality relationships rather than aggressive commercial tactics.

• Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans for civil engineering projects
• Supporting framework bids and long-term regional contracts
• Liaising closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
• Providing input into tender strategy and value engineering
• Ensuring all commercial submissions are compliant and competitive

You'll bring strong estimating experience within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector — ideally with some exposure to concrete, water, or framework-based projects. We're looking for someone who:

• Has civil engineering estimating experience (frameworks experience an advantage)
• Thrives in a collaborative, relationship-led environment
• Is adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership
• Prefers the culture and flexibility of an SME, not a Tier 1 environment
• Is looking for long-term stability and career development — not short-term moves
