We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine - Cardiology Physician for a locum tenens position near Gig Harbor, WA. • Patient Care:
  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to inpatients.
  • Manage a patient load of 15-18 patients per shift, focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and specialized cardiology teams, including EP and interventional cardiology, to deliver high-quality care.
• Coverage:
  • Work Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with some night call duties.
  • Cover 2-3 weekends over the assignment period (Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM).
  • Engage in both direct patient care and consultative services as needed.

• Support Staff:
  • Supported by an experienced team including advanced practice clinicians, EP, and interventional cardiology.
• EMR System:
  Experience with Epic is preferred, but training will be provided if necessary.
• Board Certification:
  Must be board certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Cardiology.
• Licensure:
  Must hold or be willing to obtain a Washington medical license or qualify through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Cardiology is required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and other certifications are not required for this position.
• Practice Setting:
  • The role is exclusively inpatient with no outpatient duties required.
  • No admissions are required, but hospital privileges must be obtained.
