Part Time Childcare Teacher before/after school - Peninsula School District

Pay: $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Location:

Peninsula School District (Toll reimbursement offered)

Schedule

Before School Shift: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:45am-9am and Wed 5:45am-10am

After School:
Mon-Fri 3:15pm-6pm

Responsibilities
  • Daily Program Meetings: review goals, updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily

    Activities:

    prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives; lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable.
  • Leading by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals; model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Communication: effective communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Qualifications
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 25lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
Requirements
  • State-specific requirements:
    First Aid & CPR in person, cleared tuberculosis test, food handlers card, MMR proof.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • Background check with fingerprinting.
