American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring telemetry experience and a WA or compact RN license.

• Acute care Med/Surg Tele unit on the 3rd floor with 96 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 with nurse aide support at 1:8-16
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, PNA, general surgical, stroke, and cardiac cases
• All beds are telemetry capable with monitor techs tracking strips while RNs validate, read, and document
• RNs required to titrate drips, including Heparin
• Charge nurse and house supervisor support available on all shifts
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a
• Weekend requirements based on unit needs
• Floating required within scope for all RNs
• Uses Epic EMR
• No standby or call requirement, as needed per census

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit with a focus on telemetry monitoring and drip titration
• Unit-specific orientation coordinated with onboarding process over 3 shifts
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 major holidays
• Dress code requires navy scrub top and bottom
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
