American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit requiring a WA or compact RN license and telemetry experience.

• Acute care setting on a 32-bed Med Surg/Tele unit
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 with nurse aide support at 1:8-16
• Common diagnoses include post-surgical general, ortho, uro, gyn, and medical overflow patients
• 16 of 32 beds are telemetry capable, with off-site monitor techs; RNs validate and read strips and document
• RNs required to titrate drips including heparin, blood, and IV fluids
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a on 12-hour shifts
• Weekend requirements based on unit needs
• No call or standby requirement, as-needed per census
• Floating required within scope for all RNs
• Charge nurse and house supervisor support available

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med Surg/Tele unit with a mix of surgical and medical overflow patients
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, with holiday coverage needed on both shifts, especially Christmas 2026
• Unit/department orientation coordinated with onboarding, typically 1-2 shifts
• Dress code requires navy scrub top and bottom
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any Common Spirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
