Principal Electronics Engineer (Level
3) – Gilbert, AZ.
- General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.
- Understands NG test engineering practices and principles.
- Understands both electrical circuits and software within the flight hardware and EGSE.
- Supports EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts and ability to perform this tasking with little to no oversight from another Electrical Engineer.
- Able to work independently to complete tasks and knows when to ask for help.
- Fully grasps escalation plan when test errors are encountered and understands when to proceed per NG/program process. Participates in anomaly resolution process while offering technical solutions for FRB approval.
- Travel and support different shifts when required.
- Works under general supervision.
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.
- Follows established procedures.
- Has technical insight and experience to know if test set‑up and results make sense.
- Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain infrequent inter‑organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
- Coordinates with ITEE team lead, electrical technicians, and I&T managers to complete tasking. May participate, prepare, and present material in program review boards (PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, FRBs, etc).
- Electronics Engineer 3:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related engineering experience. - Demonstrate ability to listen effectively, take direction, and possess initiative to accomplish assigned tasks and complete work in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrate ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based off previous experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance & special program access.
- Active DoD TS/SCI or higher security clearance with investigation in the last five (5) years.
- Experience with any of the following:
Microsoft Visio, National Instruments LabVIEW. - Experience with hardware or software testing and test scripting.
- Experience in electronics troubleshooting, RF test configuration testing, environments testing (vibration analysis/thermal vacuum chamber testing).
- Experience in automated test equipment usage and troubleshooting.
- Programming experience with any of the following languages:
Python, C, C++. - Experience in aerospace or defense industry (development or test).
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 – $. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
