Swain Electric, Inc., a family owned commercial and industrial electrical contractor in the Arizona market, is accepting applications for the Senior Estimator role. This hands‑on role in the corporate office will work directly with project managers and supervise a team of 1‑2 estimators.

Base Salary $85,000–$115,000 DOE, plus bonus.

• Manages and prioritizes workflow in the estimating department.
• Prepares estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
• Identifies labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Communicates with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Manages bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintains cost data base by entering data and connecting to supplier databases.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Establishes and maintains working relationships with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• 5+ years of estimating experience on commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Applied Science, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Proficient in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office software.
• Significant experience with electrical estimating software.
• Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction processes.
• Ability to organize data.
• Detail oriented and the ability to review work product from the 30,000 ft level.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
