Overview

The Aerospace Engineer at Airside MRO will be responsible for developing, verifying, and enhancing company capabilities through the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures, and test equipment. This position will play a key role in capability expansion, compliance assurance, and process improvement initiatives. The Engineer will work collaboratively across departments to support operations, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Capability Development & Verification:
    Develop, verify, and expand Airside MRO’s capability list, ensuring all tooling and test equipment meet operational and regulatory standards.
  • Engineering Design & Fabrication:
    Draft, design, and assist in the production of specialized tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to support repair activities.
  • Hydraulic & Electrical Systems:
    Provide engineering support for testing, troubleshooting, and capability development related to hydraulic components and electrical systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure engineering activities comply with FAA, EASA, and Part 145 regulations.
  • Collaboration:

    Partner with Operations and Quality teams to ensure effective integration of engineering solutions into production workflows.
  • Project Support:
    Assist in managing engineering projects, including planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain accurate records of engineering designs, verifications, and modifications to support regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience within the aviation MRO industry.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and electrical components in an aerospace or MRO environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145 requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and capability development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with capability development and verification processes.
  • Familiarity with EASA regulations and international standards.
  • FAA certifications or related regulatory training.
