- Support program technical execution in accordance with Northrop Grumman Systems Engineering processes and best practices
- Perform technical planning and analyses at all levels of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
- Assist requirements development, allocation, and interface definition efforts
- Utilize different tools and databases to keep technical artifacts up to date and help ensure the technical baseline is maintained as the system design matures and evolves
- Play a key role in major program milestone and readiness reviews
- Author and provide input to program data products and other vital deliverables including Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Command & Telemetry Databases (CTDB), test plans, test procedures, and automated test scripts
- Help support critical test campaigns designed to exercise spacecraft functionality, measure performance, and verify survivability in the extreme launch and space environments
- Work directly with and communicate technical and programmatic status to program leadership and customers
- Lead by example and be willing to mentor, coach, train, guide, direct and advise teammates
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s; 1 year with PhD
- Self-starter with strong problem‑solving skills and a desire to learn
- Engineering experience
- Must have U.S. Citizenship with active DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with at least 8 years of experience; 6 years with Master’s; 3 years with PhD
- Self-starter with strong problem‑solving skills and a desire to learn
- Engineering experience
- Must have U.S. Citizenship with active DoD Top Secret clearance at time of application
- Electrical engineering and integration & test experience
- Advanced degree in engineering, physics, or computer science
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
- Possess strong leadership qualities, as well as strong communication skills
- Experience working on spacecraft or aircraft systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as STOL, PERL, and PYTHON
- Experience in systems engineering to include architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management, hardware/software integration, and test planning & execution
- Experience with various technical tools such as MATLAB, STK, CORE, DOORS, or CAMEO
- Experience in any of the following areas is also desired: orbital mechanics, orbital debris modeling, spacecraft attitude control, power systems and modeling, avionics or digital electronics design, risk analysis, optics, communications, rocket propulsion, thermal engineering, or spacecraft integration and testing
- Knowledge of launch vehicles, system safety, system reliability, contamination control, EMI, space environments (radiation, surface charging, etc.), and human factors is also desired
- Experience and/or training in earned value management systems
