Financial Advisor / Consultant, Wealth Management
A.M. Guidance & Financial Services (AMGF) is a Financial Matchmaker for Advisors & RIAs. Adam Mosbach is a seasoned industry professional with over 30 years of experience and an extensive network in the financial services space. The firm focuses on helping advisors and RIAs grow, scale, or plan succession without pressure, unnecessary fees, or sales-driven tactics. In 2024 alone, more than 35 professionals were successfully placed through targeted, relationship-based matchmaking.
This is not simply another associate advisor position.
I’m conducting a confidential search on behalf of an award-winning, rapidly growing national RIA with more than $2 billion in client assets and 11 offices nationwide.
The opportunity is based in the Phoenix metro area, working with an established local practice serving approximately 120 client households with a comprehensive, long-term financial planning approach.
But here’s what really caught my attention:
For the right person, this role may provide a path to succession.
The firm is looking for someone who can initially work alongside an experienced lead advisor—developing financial plans, participating in client meetings, deepening relationships and helping manage the practice—but who has the capability and ambition to take on substantially more responsibility over time.
Ultimately, the right person could grow into the lead advisor role and assume primary responsibility for the office’s client relationships.
Who should take a look? I’d especially like to speak with financial planning professionals who have:- Approximately 3–10 years of financial planning/advisory experience
- Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills
- Experience developing comprehensive financial plans
- A desire to grow from planner → advisor → lead advisor
- An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to wear multiple hats
- A strong command of financial planning technology and CRM systems
- Residence in the Phoenix metro/Central Arizona market
- CFP® professionals are particularly encouraged to reach out.
I’d also like to hear from strong candidates who are actively pursuing the CFP® certification and expect to sit for the exam within approximately the next six months. The formal position calls for the CFP®, so those situations would need to be evaluated individually with the firm.
Experience with eMoney, Asset Mark and Hub Spot would be helpful, and a demonstrated ability to contribute to business development would be a significant plus.
Compensation & Platform- $80,000–$140,000, depending on experience
- Medical, dental and vision benefits
- 401(k)
- PTO and paid holidays
- Hybrid work environment
- Small, collaborative local team backed by the resources of a national RIA
And this is a firm with momentum.
Among its 2026 industry recognition, the firm was named RIA Team of the Year in the Investment News Awards, ranked #6 among Financial Advisor Magazine’s 50 fastest-growing RIAs, and was recognized by Inc. as one of its Best Workplaces.
For advisors thinking about their next move, I believe there’s an important question that doesn’t get asked often enough:
“What’s my path from planner to lead advisor?”
This opportunity may have a very compelling answer.
