Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Specialist III who is innovative and driven to partner with business partners about front-line support and resolution of hardware and software-related issues. This position is responsible for service, installation, and maintenance of various computers, laptops, peripherals and other related equipment throughout the Town by means of troubleshooting, prevention and repair.
This full-time, benefitted, Limited Term position is funded through June 30th, 2026. Employment beyond that date is contingent upon the FY27 budget request and approval.
The IT Specialist reports to the IT Customer Experience Manager and is part of a job family. The primary function of this position is to manage technical support incidents, both software and hardware based, as well as software deployments and updates. This position is responsible for second or third-tier technical support and administrative assistance to improve and enhance the user experience.

Responsibilities- Provide best in class customer service to all users resulting in resolution of their technical issues in a positive and professional manner.
- Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a simple and easily understood language, as well as engage technically proficient users in appropriate vernacular.
- Effectively document new solutions and update existing solution articles as changes occur.
- Effectively mentor IT Specialist I and II’s.
- Ability to research, troubleshoot and implement solutions independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment that is customer facing.
- Associate’s degree in information technology (Bach preferred) or closely related field.
- 5+ years of IT industry experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience in a corporate setting working with a variety of employee types, including C-Suite.
- 3+ years of increasingly difficult experience troubleshooting, researching, and resolving technical issues.
- 3+ years of experience staging and imaging PC hardware, software and related equipment
- 3+ years of experience supporting M365 or similar products;
Exchange knowledge a plus - 3+ years of experience supporting Windows and Apple devices (MacOS, iOS)
- 3+ years of experience with SCCM in an enterprise environment
- 1+ year of experience with InTune in an enterprise environment
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network + certificates a plus
- Apple Certified Support Professional a plus
- Valid AZ driver’s license
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional work outside normal working hours.
- MUST PASS PD BACKGROUND CHECK.

While the full salary range is provided to reflect the potential for growth within the job classification, initial compensation for this position will begin at the minimum of the range.
